For those of you with kids in Tokyo (or Mexico), I recommend taking a look at Kidzania (Japanese site Kidzania.com). Sorry for the poor video but better than nothing I hope:
It's a sort of theme park (originally from the US Mexico) in Toyosu on the outskirts of Tokyo where kids can go and get 'work experience'. I took a walk around the other day and it was fascinating. Many major Japanese brands have joined in to create mini versions of their shops. Kids do real work (making pizza, courier, designer, police and much more) then get money so they can go out and spend it on food or the cinema etc. Looks like huge fun and super educational. I wish they had these when I was a kid.
Not sure whether you can just walk in or whether you have to be part of a group. I'm sure it's on the site.
For adults the LaLaPort shopping and entertainment complex looked very impressive and opens on Oct. 5th.
